2019 Australia Day Award Nominations Now Open

Mayor Ed Warren is encouraging the entire community to nominate our best and brightest for the 2019 Australia Day Awards.

Council presents the awards each year to recognise outstanding achievements in the communities of Longreach, Ilfracombe and Isisford/Yaraka.

Cr Warren stressed the importance of acknowledging the work of dedicated individuals and groups in the community.

“There are so many great things happening all the time in our region, it’s important to show our appreciation to the people and groups that make it all possible. These awards are an opportunity to celebrate our best people and achievements.”
