Public Notice: Overgrown Property Inspections

Local Laws Officers will commence inspections of overgrown properties from Monday 18 March 2019. Compliance Notices for vegetation reduction will be issued. Those failing to rectify issues in full within the specified times may face fines of up to $560.00 for non compliance with a notice.  Additionally, Council may eventually engage contractors to undertake outstanding works on the residents behalf with all costs incurred to be recovered from the resident or landowner.

Residents receiving a notice who for legitimate reasons are unable to maintain their property within the specified timeframe should contact Council’s Local Laws team on (07) 4658 4111 for further advice.
