The Department of Human Services offers services such as providing information products, forms and brochures, Medicare phone claiming service and reply paid envelopes to forward receipts to support claims and telephone for department-related business. Home and Community Care (HACC)
Longreach Home and Community Care provides a range of services to clients and carers in the Longreach area. HACC provide assistance to frail, aged, younger people with disabilities and their carers as well as helping people with special needs to remain living in dependently in their own homes. HACC offer a large number of services including personal care, nursing care, social supports, respite care, transport, and maintaining independence.

Home Assist Secure
Home Assist Secure aims to remove some of the practical housing related difficulties experienced by people with a disability and people over 60 years of age who wish to remain in their home. Home assist Secure provides free information and referrals about home maintenance, repairs, modifications and home security.

Visiting specialists and specialist nurses run clinics and telehealth appointments with specialists are also conducted at this location. Central West Hospital and Health Services
The Central West Hospital and Health Service is a thirty one bed acute facility located approximately two kilometres from the town centre and provides the Longreach community with integrated health services across a wide range of specialty areas.
The Longreach Hospital offers mental health and alcohol, tobacco and other drug services, allied health, physiotherapy, dietitian, occupational therapy, podiatry, social work and grief and loss counselling.
