Notice to Residents and Visitors: Wild Dog Baiting Program
Residents and visitors are advised that Council and Contractors will be conducting an aerial and ground Wild Dog Baiting Program, commencing Monday 6 May 2019. The area to be covered includes the Longreach Region and some surrounding Council areas.
While the Town Commons are not part of the area to be baited, care should be taken when exercising dogs and other animals.
This is a necessary and planned program aimed at attempting to control the Wild Dog problem in the Region.
If you are participating in the baiting program, remember to notify your neighbours and ensure that the mandatory signage is placed on all boundary access points prior to commencement.
Further details can be obtained from the main office or by contacting (07) 4658 4111.
