Wild Dog Baiting Program - April/May 2017

Residents and visitors are advised that Council and Contractors will be conducting an aerial and ground wild dog baiting program commencing 26 April 2017 for a period of three weeks. The area to be covered includes the Longreach Region and some surrounding Council areas.

The following Reserves will be included in this wild dog baiting program, Tarcombe, Arrilalah, Eight Mile, Bogeywong, Maneroo and Eighteen Mile.

While the Town Commons are not part of the area to be baited, care should be taken when exercising dogs and other animals.

This is a necessary and planned program aimed at attempting to control the wild dog problem in the Region.  If you are participating in the baiting program, remember to notify your neighbours and place relevant signage on each boundary access prior to commencement.

Further details can be obtained from the main office or by contacting (07) 4658 4111.
