Notice is hereby given under the Local Government Act 2009 that pursuant to Section 60(2), Longreach Regional Council is proposing to rename Regional Rural Roads. The purpose and general effect of the review is to provide a uniform standard for rural road names inline with AS/NZS 4819:2011 Rural and Urban Addressing Standards.
A summary of the proposed changes is available for viewing here and for inspection at Council offices at Longreach, Ilfracombe, and Isisford.
Any person may lodge a submission about any aspect of the proposed Rural Road Name Review. In order for a written submission to be properly made it must:
- Be in writing and, unless the submission is made electronically, be signed by each person who made the submission;
- Be received by 5.00pm on Friday, 20 July 2018;
- State the name and residential or business address of each person who made the submission;
- State the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.
