UPDATE (4 October) - Longreach Regional Council is advising Isisford residents that treated town water is once again safe for consumption.

 

Longreach Regional Council is advising Isisford residents to not consume town water for drinking or cooking. Due to complications with the ongoing mains replacement program, sediment from the treated water ground reservoir has been released into the into the reticulation mains.

Council will be flushing the water mains over the next 48 hours and will advise the community once the supply is again suitable for consumption. Bottled drinking water is available from Council’s branch office in St Mary Street. Please take only what you need and return should you require additional supplies.
