Longreach Water Mains Replacement Program – Notification of Road Closures

Longreach Regional Council will be performing essential works on the Water Reticulation Mains in Longreach commencing on Monday, 8 July 2019 to Friday, 2 August 2019.

During these works council will be required to close some intersections and perform some half road closures.  The areas affected are listed below.  These roads and intersections will be closed in stages as works on the Water Mains Replacement Program progresses.

  • Cassowary Street between Swallow and Rosella Streets (including intersections), 
  • Cassowary & Heron Streets (including intersections);
  • Cassowary Street between Tern and Sparrow Streets (including intersections);
  • Crane & Heron Streets.

Council apologises for any inconvenience that this may cause residents. Should this program of works be altered residents will be notified in person.
