Longreach to host $1 million hole-in-one in 2020

Longreach has been announced as the host of the final leg of the Outback Queensland Masters in 2020 and the hotly contested $1 million hole-in-one. 

Attracting over eight hundred competitors and social players from all over Australia, the inaugural Outback Queensland Masters generated thousands of additional room nights and is poised to expand into new outback locations for 2020.

"The $1 million dollar hole-in-one challenge will again be up for grabs in 2020," explained Luke Bates, Golf Operations and State Senior Manager - Queensland, Golf Australia. "We're so pleased to announce the series locations for next year, including Biloela, Charleville, Quilpie, Blackall, Hughenden, and Longreach."

The Mayor, Cr Ed Warren, said "We are excited that Longreach will be the location for the $1 million hole-in-one challenge as the pinnacle to the 2020 Outback Queensland Masters. Longreach is iconic in the history and culture of Outback Queensland and we're looking forward to hosting this fantastic event in our community."
