Corporate Plan

In Queensland, Local Government Authorities are required to prepare a Corporate Plan in accordance with the Local Government Act 2009 and Local Government Regulations 2012. The Corporate Plan is the highest-level overarching strategic document that guides the work of Council.

It is always prepared in consultation with the community and can be thought of as the community’s plan for Council.

“Now, like the Council before us, my fellow Councillors and I proudly take custodianship of the aspirations of our community as detailed in this plan. ” – Mayor Tony Rayner

The Corporate Plan is the guiding document informing the preparation and delivery of Council’s Annual Operational Plan and Budget. The current Corporate Plan was adopted in 2017 following widespread consultation with the community.
