Policies Policies

Policies are a statement of action or a guideline adopted by Council.  A policy is used by officers in the course of administration or Council may follow a policy to aid decision-making.

A policy deals with decision-making and allocation of resources outside normal standards or conventions. Policies are public documents that may be used to provide guidance to anyone seeking Council's stance or viewpoint on certain matters.  

Members of the public can review policies on this website with policies being available by category below.

Policies are numbered and reviewed on an ongoing basis either by Council or the Chief Executive Officer, depending on the type of policy.

No legislative rules apply to policies, other than the various Acts and Regulations that apply to the content and intent of the policy.
