Outback Odyssey Hits the Big Screen in Longreach

Longreach locals are invited to a one-night-only special screening of Andamooka, a powerful new indie film set entirely in the breathtaking and remote heart of regional Australia. Shot across 7,000km of outback country including Western Queensland.
Shot with a skeleton crew of just three over two months in a single old Hilux, the film is a triumph of grit, creativity and spontaneity. From concept to final cut, Andamooka was five years in the making, with scenes and plot points shaped organically by the people and places encountered on the journey. The result is a strikingly intimate and authentic film that champions community, culture, and storytelling beyond the city.

Andamooka is a raw and unfiltered portrait of womanhood, friendship, and finding freedom in the most unexpected places. This is a special Longreach event as a part of The Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival, usually just in Winton.
