Isisford Ross Cup "150 Years of Country Racing"

Isisford's annual race meeting, is celebrating a special milestone "150 Years" on Saturday 24 October 2026.

Isisford Club, a group of volunteers, along with Racing Queensland work all year round to provide one of Isisford's social event on the calendar.

The Isisford Ross Cup is a historic outback horse racing, often dubbed as "Mini Flemington". The day typically includes a five-race program, Fashions on the Field, a Calcutta and the famous steeple chase, where mostly young guns, smashing the jump out from the starting barriers and go head-to-head jumping hay bales to the fighting finish. Bar operating throughout the day, with the Garden Bar highlighting the race club's cocktail of the day. 

Fun Fact - Did you know that the Isisford Races used to be named The Isisford District Amateur Turf Club and funds raised went to the Isisford District Hospital.
