As part of the National Science Week activities, and through CUC's involvement with the Western Queensland STEM Hub, the Mobile Mission Operations Centre (MOC) will be visiting Longreach on Thursday 20 August. This is an exciting opportunity for our community to engage with cutting-edge Australian space and STEM initiatives.
The Mobile Mission Operations Centre is a purpose-built facility designed to support space launches, remote operations, and inspire STEM learning across Australia. Housed within a B-Double trailer, the front and rear modules expand when deployed to accommodate up to 30 operators with configurable multi-monitor workstations, mission-status displays, resilient communications, and off-grid power systems. Developed through the iLAuNCH consortium and funded by the Australian Government's Trailblazer Universities Program, the MOC is designed to foster innovation and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.
