Isisford Boil Water Alert - June 2026

Published on 05 June 2026

Longreach Regional Council wishes to advise that regular monitoring of the Isisford Treated Water Supply has detected above normal Turbidity levels (cloudiness) in the treated water supply.

While this is generally not harmful, it indicates that the water may be insufficiently treated.

As a precaution, Council is advising town residents to: BOIL WATER

Residents are advised to use cooled, boiled water for drinking, cooking, washing raw foods, making ice and cleaning teeth etc. until further notice.

It is important when boiling water; it is brought to a rolling boil for at least three minutes. Allow water to cool before consuming; store in a clean, covered container.

Council is currently working on making necessary adjustments at the water treatment plant.
