Standing Committees
It is a requirement that Council also make available the agenda and minutes of its standing committees. The Conduct Breach Standing Committee meets on an as-needs basis, and the Governance Standing Committee meets monthly, the day before Council's ordinary meeting. Standing Committee meetings are open to the public, and you can find their published documents below.
Governance Standing Committee
Our Governance (Standing) Committee was established by Res-2025-03-74 at the March 2025 Ordinary Meeting of Council, pursuant to section 264 of the Local Government Regulation 2012.
The Committee's role is to deal with strategic aspects of Council's governance and business activities, giving detailed deliberation to these matters, and making recommendations to Council. Activities will include:
- receiving briefings from the Executive Leadership Team;
- receiving deputations from the public;
- discussing strategic issues of Council;
- reviewing Council policies and plans;
- reviewing strategic items in the Ordinary Council Meeting agenda; and,
- considering other governance related issues.

Conduct Breach Standing Committee
TheConduct Breach Standing Committee meets on an as-needs basis - it has not been necessary to convene a meeting of this committee since it was established in October 2024. If it does meet, the agenda and minutes will appear here.
